Trained as a special educator and reading specialist, Mia is the founder and executive director of JOYweavers,, a program serving children and families affected by trauma, social-emotional disabilities, or school challenges. JOYweavers runs a 5-week summer program, monthly gatherings for our campers, and resources and advocacy for caregivers.. Mia's skills include starting the box stitch with gimp, making duct tape wallets, and fostering a strong camp community She is also a Certified Practitioner in Collaborative Problem Solving.
