Susan Richards has been co-Director of the Agenda for Children OST since its inception in 2001. She has spent more than 30 years working in the out-of-school time field in Cambridge. She is deeply committed to the young people and families of this community. She has a rich history designing innovative youth development programs and professional development and systems-building initiatives. Susan leads the field locally in advocacy efforts and coalition-building. She has decades of experience as a youth worker, program director, executive director, coach, community leader and organizer. Lifting the wisdom of our OST educators, empowering families and holding high expectations for all of our young people are core to her practice. She is the founding director of the Community Art Center’s Do it Your Damn Self National Youth Film Festival created in 1996 and is the recipient of numerous local awards and recognition for leadership in promoting quality, access and equity.
